The Thousand Islands Writers Festival comes to Gananoque every year. Big name authors make their way into town for three days of reading, writing, and inspiration by the riverside.

This year on May 5th to 7th, the festival is tackling everything from slam poetry to creative non-fiction, covering topics like writing and design, food writing, and Canada’s 150th. If you stop by one of the participating bed and breakfasts on Saturday morning, you can have a living room chat session with a famous — and favourite — author.

Events are being held all around town and tickets and festival passes are still available. So get ready for a weekend of fun and literary excitement and join the Writers Festival in Gananoque!
