Remembrance Day is still an important holiday in Canada. On the eleventh day of the eleventh month at the eleventh hour, the entire country falls silent to honour those who fought in the wars, risking or losing their lives to protect us.
They say that if history isn’t remembered it is doomed to be repeated. The importance of remembering these events always comes with hope for a future without war and without suffering.
We hope you’ll join Stone & South and the Town of Gananoque at Gananoque’s Remembrance Day ceremonies. The ceremonies begin at 11am on November 11th, at the Town War Memorial in front of Town Hall.
Lest we forget.
