Going Boating

The Gananoque lighthouse, overlooking the St. Lawrence.

After winter, we’re always itching to get back out on the water. May brings warm weather, gentle breezes, and the first few trips out on the river.

Stone & South’s dock will be the best pace to launch from. It offers a beautiful view of the St. Lawrence and gives you a great starting place to begin your adventure. Head west towards Kingston, south towards New York, or east towards Ottawa and Montreal. There are literally over a thousand islands to explore, all of them unique and incredible.

A view of Gananoque and the Thousand Islands from above Stone & South's building site.

After the cold (or a winter-long vacation to warmer weather), it’s so refreshing to be out enjoying the gentle May warmth and the beauty of nature. So get your boat out of hibernation and join us on the river!

Yachts and sailboats lined up in the Gananoque Municipal Marina.
