Nothing beats the summer heat like cool music in the evenings. Gananoque has a lot of local musical talent, and you can rock out all weekend with free summer concerts every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night.

Every year, Gananoque hosts free concerts at Joel Stone Heritage Park’s amphitheatre and at the Town Hall Bandstand but this year is special. In honour of Canada’s 150th birthday, they’re having three days of concerts featuring local musicians every weekend, right up to the first weekend of September. If you love music or just love having a good time by the waterfront, you’ll find yourself dancing and singing along in Gananoque.

The Gananoque Farmers Market at Town Hall.

Thursday’s concerts begin at 6:30PM at the Town Hall Bandstand — during the weekly Gananoque Farmers Market. You can get your weekly local produce fix and then stick around to enjoy the band, or grab something to eat from a local vendor and make an evening of it!

The Thursday night line-up is:
July 13th – Limestone Jazz Collective
July 20th – Tom Savage
July 27th – Quintenessentials
August 3rd – Roger James
August 10th – Kingstown Tenors

On Fridays and Saturdays, the concerts are held at Joel Stone Heritage Park in their outdoor amphitheatre beginning at 7:30PM. There’s plenty of time to enjoy the beach while the sun sets, or take a walk through the historic buildings before the concert, or you can just bring a lawn chair and enjoy the show.
